At Bistrot des Alpes, traditional cuisine from the French Alps takes centre stage.

Taste the cheese fondue, raclette and gratins Savoyarde in the Bistrot.

Welcome

Located on Hobbemakade, near the Rijksmuseum and Museumplein, Bistrot des Alpes brings the atmosphere and flavors of the French Alps to Amsterdam.

Founders Dieuwertje from Leiden and Thibault from Annecy started a small restaurant in the Alps in 2010, where their love for hospitality and Savoyard cuisine was born.

Since 2015 they have been sharing that warmth in Amsterdam.

In 2025, Bistrot des Alpes moved to Hobbemakade, an ideal location for local residents and visitors to the cultural heart of the city.

Together they now run two businesses: Bistrot des Alpes and Restaurant Mont Blanc in Govert Flinckstraat, where chef Thibault further develops his gastronomic creativity and Dieuwertje maintains the energy and atmosphere.

At Bistrot des Alpes, you can enjoy authentic Alpine classics, a cozy bistro setting, and a warm welcome—whether you're visiting a museum, for an intimate dinner, or a cozy evening with cheese fondue.
